Ivy is a wonderful plant if only because it will flourish in most soils and climates. They do however tend to prefer a bit of a well drained and a moist soil. Hedera will also attract wildlife to feed or nest and are considered as an excellent plant for the problem areas in the garden as they provide evergreen foliage cover throughout the year. There exists a popular saying that goes as such: “doctors bury their mistakes, architects cover them with ivy”.
