Gerberas bouquets are among the most popular of flowers. So much so, that in fact
gerbera flowers are ranked as the fifth most used cut flower in the world and this only after
roses,
carnations,
chrysanthemums and
tulips. Distinguished by large flowering heads, very much like those of
sunflowers, they are available throughout the whole year and come in an astonishing rainbow of colours which include white, red, orange, pink yellow, brown, as well as multiple colours on a single flower head. Another variety of this flower, but with a smaller head, also exists and goes by the name of
germini. The germini is favoured by florists as it is easier to manipulate and create arrangements with, whilst retaining all the beauty and charm of a normal gerbera flower. Here at Flower Station, we especially like to use the Kimsey light pink germinis and gerberas, which are perfect for
new baby girl bouquets.
