Flowers at London Business School
Last few days have been quite exciting here at our London florist headquarters. Movie stars, footballers and other celebrities were at our 24 hour florist getting everyone more excited than usual and making us feel more important than we really are – but, I have to admit, it does and it did, make us feel good at least. At the same time, I was very lucky to see some quite amazing events happen throughout London and it was really good to see our designers cope so very well with the pressure. As is usually the case with some of these events, we unfortunately do not get to take as many photos and sometimes are a little disappointed, especially me, as there is nothing more that I enjoy than showing off : ).
However this week one of the leading business schools in the world – London Business School – had offered us an unprecedented access to one of their events and we were more than happy to oblige and click away at our floral displays in their wonderful surroundings. The event is still under way and will be on for a few more days, during which we will be popping in on a regular basis to make sure our displays stay as fresh as possible. So far, and as expected from such an amazing institution, it seems as if the ongoing events are a huge success.
I guess the really cool thing with regards to this event was a different range of flowers used to represent the colours of the school. We were also always trying to keep it looking quite vibrant and fresh, exotic and colourful, contemporary and always, always very corporate, keeping our surroundings very much in mind. To achieve this task our two senior designers Miki and Nok (well done by the way guys!!!) had decided to use a range of flowers such as dark and light blue as well as purple delphiniums, red gingers, heliconias, vanda and phalaenopsis orchids with lots of other foliages and huge bamboo sticks for the main stage especially.
For smaller arrangements our florists had decided to go quite fresh and vibrant again and they have used the ever beautiful birds of paradise, proteas, red anthuriums with yellow roses, hypericum red berries and lots of lush foliages. There were other flowers and other arrangements, but we mostly kept to the theme as you can see here.
Looking back at the whole event, I must say I did enjoy it quite more than most of others. The staff at the London Business School were extremely professional and always made it very easy for us to complete our work, constantly moving things out of our way, whilst dealing with other contractors at the same time. We hope to have impressed enough and as always we did our very best and are looking forward to many other events and a long relationship with the many departments at the school that we serve on a regular basis.
