The show cleverly uses music in order to showcase UK Drill as a valuable tool through which people can share their stories, specifically representing how it began as a mechanism through which the underprivileged could voice their adversities. The use of music also reflects the efforts of the series’ creators, Junior Okoli and Chas Appeti, to communicate with the show’s young viewers.

The series is set in London, which the characters refer to as the ‘Jungle’. It has a semi-fictional, dystopian plot line, shedding light on the difficult lives that many lead in London, struggling to navigate its various social rules and laws. The series focuses on the interconnected lives of a group of strangers who are dealing with their individual issues. The creators of ‘Jungle’ purposely avoided setting the series in a particular timeframe or year as they believe that the social issues discussed in the series are timeless.
Since ‘Jungle’ is set in London it is filmed across the city, giving it a sense of authenticity. Of course, our favourite setting of the series is in our flagship flower shop - Flower Station in the heart of Marylebone, London. Bianca ( Amaria BB), one of the show’s main characters plays the role of a florist, capturing the heart of Marcus (Poundz) and capturing the eyes of the show’s viewers, working among floating petals amidst the neon lights of the florist.
